Language Literacy & Numeracy Test
To determine that you have the required Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills to adequately complete the course, you will be required to undertake a Language Literacy and Numeracy Test.
If you are wishing to apply for VET Student Loans, and do not have a VCE Certificate or a Certificate IV qualification or higher, you will be required to complete an online LLN test. The minimum entry requirements are Exit Level 3 for both Numeracy and Maths.
If you do not wish to apply for VET Student Loans, or are able to provide a VCE Certificate or a Certificate IV qualification or higher, you will only be required to complete a paper based LLN Test. You must achieve a level 3 in each of the areas – Reading, Writing, Learning, Oral, and Numeracy.
Note: The questions asked in the instructor interview determine your level of oral communication.
Flight Instructor Interview
Our flight instructors are experts in the industry and know what it takes to become a successful Commercial Pilot. As part of our screening process, you will be required to meet with one our instructors who will determine your level of suitability to the aviation industry. They will determine your suitability to the course, assess your verbal communication skills, as well as identify any potential issues that may be in the way of you completing the course successfully. Students must demonstrate a sound interest in aviation and a willingness to learn.
All potential students are required to undertake a Flight Simulator test. You need to achieve a score of at least 8 on this test. No prior experience is necessary – the test is to determine how you respond to instruction and how you work as a team.
